Interview Training (Blurandevu)

15 students from Colaiste Pobaill Beantraí took part in interview training with Graffiti Theatre.

The most recent books of the three writers Louise O’Neill, Mary Watson and Muhammad Khan, attending the West Cork Literary Festival 2018, were provided to the group. The group learned how to:

• Identify their response to the works they read;
• Articulate their reactions;
• Build the confidence to express their reactions;
• Learn communication techniques;
• Learn to engage with the author and ask meaningful questions about the books they read;
• Gain confidence in speaking in front of a group, and;
• Learn to conduct interviews.

In addition to presenting the events, the students taking part were given the opportunity to meet and discuss the works with the writers.  The events held with the writers were very engaging and exciting for the writer, interviewers and audience alike.
