Join us for our final Coffee and Chat of this year's festival. Our guest today is the artist John Ratajkowski.

Several years ago John was spending six months at his home in Bantry and decided to start his Irish mornings by drawing cows. He would stand in an empty field and a head would rise above a hill – then another and another. After the herd was assembled, the cows would slowly walk toward him, stop, and pose for as long as he needed them. One Tuesday he shared a drawing with his daughter Emily and then by chance another the next Tuesday. She suggested that he share a cow every Tuesday and call it ‘Cow Tuesday’. Now over three years and 200 cow drawings later, many of these have been published in a beautiful handbound art book called Cow Tuesday.

John will be in conversation with Ann Davoren, director of Uillinn: West Cork Arts Centre

Admission: €12

Cow Tuesday is a handsome, 10″ x 10″ handbound art book, where artist John Ratajkowski brings together 122 original drawings and paintings from his famous weekly Instagram and Facebook “Cow Tuesday” posts. Printed on fine paper, each art piece is varied in medium and style. Included is the “Story of Cow Tuesday” and John’s biography and self-portrait. Limited number.
