Caroline Shaw leapt to fame when her Partita for 8 voices sung by her vocal ensemble Roomful of Teeth won the Pulitzer Prize in 2014. Since then she seems to be everywhere. The two works in this concert are a result of her collaboration with Attacca Quartet. Limestone and Felt presents two kinds of surfaces – hard and soft. The blizzard of pizzicatos are part of whimsical, mystical, generative world of sounds.
