A group of young Illustrators are excited to be entering the European Network FLIC  Awards . The group of fifteen boys and girls from Kinsale Community School took part in this activity with the help of artist Fiona Kelly. Their artwork has been sent to Barcelona for entry into the 9th edition of the FLIC awards.

The FLIC Prize, awarded annually through the FLIC literature & arts festival, aims to give recognition to outstanding people and projects for their role in the promotion and dissemination of children’s and young people’s literature with a close relationship with other arts. We were delighted that one of our Kinsale participants – Latoya Thorpe among the top 13 and her will be displayed during the FLIC festival in Barcelona.

Kathleen Fitzpatrick, teacher in Kinsale Community School, was able to attend the International Training event during the festival and see Latoya’s work on display.
