New Collaboration

This year, to celebrate their 10th anniversary, Skibbereen Arts Festival invited 10 other festivals to collaborate with them . We're delighted to have been one of the organisations invited - and all three of our festivals are participating.The locations, diversity and above all the high artistic quality of all the festivals involved undeniably showcase West Cork as Ireland's Premier festival destination.

Importance of Being Aisling

We’re delighted to welcome the two writers and best friends who brought Aisling to the Irish public in 2017. Emer McLysaght and Sarah Breen will be appearing in the Maritime Hotel on Saturday 13 July at 8.30pm and talking about the two books which have been such a whirlwind success – The Importance of Being Aisling and Oh My God, What a Complete Aisling.

Press Release - Booking Open

The West Cork Literary Festival which takes place this year from July 12th to July 19th in the picturesque West Cork town of Bantry, is a renowned destination for booklovers. A week-long series of workshops, readings, family and young adult events, this year’s line-up includes Mary Robinson, Graham Norton, Tracey Thorn, Kevin Barry, Anne Carson, Tana French, Sinéad Gleeson, Esi Edugyan, and many, many more as well as writing workshops with Adam Weymouth, Wendy Erskine, Liz Berry, Ye Vagabonds, Dave Lordan and ER Murray.
