Sonic Quartet is made up of students from the Academy in Dublin. Prokofiev’s Kabardinian is a war-time work written in the foothills of the Caucasus after being evacuated from Moscow. He used folk music from the wild Kabarda mountains, some appropriately war-like and some romantic love-songs. Ravel’s only Quartet is much loved by young ensembles.

Admission: €7
