28. Crespo Series

Perfection takes many forms but keyboard works by Johann Sebastian Bach in the fingers of a leading pianist has to be one of them especially in the old world atmosphere of Bantry House. The French Suites are Bach on the highest level even though it is music that can be played by children. In this recital we have time for four out of the six Suites, two minor key and two major key. The Fifth in G major is the best-known and has a Gigue that is pure joy. One great pianist describes the Sixth as on the level of heaven, or going there.
