Telemann’s account of the adventures of Don Quixote is a light-hearted start to the day, followed by Magdalena Karolak playing Joan Pla’s delightful Oboe Concerto. After several diversions the concert concludes with Jean-Féry Rebel’s Les Caractères de la Danse, a unique composition opening with a gracious Prélude followed by a continuous suite of popular dance movements.
