Sarah Webb is an award-winning Irish children’s author. She is also the Events Manager at Halfway up the Stairs children’s bookshop in Greystones, Co Wicklow. Her historical novels for children include The Weather Girls, inspired by real WW2 events in Ireland and The Bookshop Sisters, set in 1950s Dublin (out in May 2026). Sarah is passionate about bringing children and books together and has been awarded both the Children’s Books Ireland Award for Outstanding Contribution to Children’s Books, and the Library Association of Ireland President’s Medal for her work promoting children’s books and libraries. In 2023 she set up Discover Irish Children’s Books to highlight and celebrate Irish children’s books. Sarah’s latest book The Bookshop Sisters is published by The O’Brien Press in May 2026.
