Róisín Ní Chonaill

Genres: New & Emerging Writing | Short Stories | West Cork

Róisín Ní Chonaill is a mother of two, living for the past number of years on the islands off West Cork, where tide, weather, and the slow turning of seasons find their way into her work. She writes primarily in poetry, drawn to the quiet crossings between the human condition and the natural world and unhuman species. She is currently in her final year of the BA in Visual Art (BAVA) on Sherkin Island, where her practice moves between image and word, attentive to texture, light, and the fleeting. Róisín’s short story ‘Bó’ won the 2026 From the Well Short Story Competition and this anthology is her first time being published.
