Allegria Quartet

Instruments: Masterclass Programme Ensembles

Lucia Murphy, Kseniia Yershova [violins]
Conor Galvin [viola], Adam Joyce [cello]

Allegria Quartet is a dynamic new quartet that was established in 2023. With burning enthusiasm for romantic repertoire, the group is ever so excited to present a fiery program, for their debut at the West Cork Chamber Music Festival. Inspiration is often gained from within the rehearsal room for the quartet, feeding on the passion and curiosity of one another as they discover new repertoire. A common aspiration for Allegria is to become established musicians, whether in chamber music, orchestras, or even as soloists. While Kseniia is the first to pursue her studies in music, the others are following close behind, with Lucia and Conor hoping to begin their full-time music studies in autumn 2024. Adam will begin his senior cycle in secondary school as he navigates the world of music conservatories.
