Bantry House, P75 T293
Yes. For festival events, the accessible entrance and parking for wheelchair users is at the gatehouse near Wolfe Tone Square. All other parking is at the main entrance on the N71 along the quay. Accessible parking can be reserved in advance by contacting the Box Office.
The venue foyer is wheelchair accessible via a portable ramp. The lobby and library are only accessible via a carpeted staircase with a handrail on the right-hand side. At main evening events, the Red Cross is present and can assist with lifting wheelchairs and mobility aids up the stairs. The Loggia is accessible via portable ramp with prior notice. Please contact the Box Office before your visit.
Yes. Wheelchair-accessible toilets are located in the stables area, which is separate from the main house. Step-free access to the stables is via the driveway. Other toilets in the house have steps.
Yes. Reserved seating is available for wheelchair users and those with mobility issues. Please contact the Box Office in advance to arrange.
Yes. We are trialling a Meet and Greet service at Bantry House this year. A member of our team will meet your companion at the venue entrance and stay with them while you park. Please let the Box Office know in advance if you would like to use this service.

Yes. Accessible parking is available directly outside the venue on Wolfe Tone Square and can be reserved via the Box Office. Please note the carpark surface is gravel.
Yes. There is a ramp with a handrail into the venue. An accessible marquee with wooden flooring is also available outside.
A portable accessible toilet is available at the venue during the festival. Wheelchair-accessible public toilets are also available nearby at Bantry Courthouse (during opening hours) and beside the Tourist Office on Wolfe Tone Square (open 24 hours).

Yes. There is one accessible parking space in front of the school and two in the quayside carpark nearby on Wolfe Tone Square.

Yes. Step-free access is available via a wide gate on the small road to the left of the main entrance on Marino Street. There is a ramp up to the venue entrance and the interior is single level and fully wheelchair accessible.
There is no wheelchair-accessible toilet at the venue. A wheelchair-accessible public toilet is available directly across the road, next to Paradise Flowers on Marino Street.

The National Learning Network is situated 3km outside Bantry town centre on the N71 towards Glengarriff. It is not accessible by public transport. You will need to travel by car or taxi.
Parking is available on site but limited. If you require accessible parking, please contact the Box Office in advance and a space will be reserved for you.
Yes. The venue is accessible via gravel paths on compacted ground and paved walkways. Events are held in an outdoor stepped amphitheatre, with space reserved at ground level for wheelchair users. If it is raining, the event moves to the large greenhouse on site, which is also accessible.
Yes. Wheelchair-accessible toilets are available in the NLN centre, directly beside the amphitheatre.

Future Forests, Kealkil, P75 H958
Future Forests is a garden centre and venue 16km from Bantry town. It is not accessible by public transport. You will need to travel by car or taxi.
Parking is available on site. Please note the paths from the car park to the entrance are uneven gravel.
The paths on site are fine gravel on compacted ground. The event space is covered and weather-proof but open to wind and cold, so please dress appropriately. The front portion of the event space has a step. Wheelchair space is available towards the back of the event area.

Whiddy Island School House and Marquee
A ferry runs to Whiddy Island from the pier in Bantry town. Three accessible parking spaces are available at the pier, free of charge. Other parking at the pier is pay-per-hour, or on-street along the N71.
The main pier is not fully suitable for wheelchair access. If you require step-free access, please contact the Box Office in advance. We will arrange for the ferry to depart from an alternative accessible pier beyond Supervalu in Bantry.
The schoolhouse is approximately 750 metres from the pier along tarmacked country roads, which can be uneven in parts. The marquee is close to the pier on a tarmacked road and pavement, which can also be uneven in parts. If you need assistance with transport on the island, please contact the Box Office and we will do our best to help.

Parking near the library is limited. There is some on-street parking and parking in Biggs carpark nearby. There is space beside the rear ramp on Market Street to stop temporarily to drop off passengers.
Yes. The library is wheelchair accessible via both entrances. The main entrance on Bridge Street is step-free but accessed directly from the road rather than a pavement. The rear entrance on Market Street has a ramp and offers better access. All events at the library are free and do not require a ticket.
The toilet at Bantry Library is not wheelchair accessible. Wheelchair-accessible public toilets are available nearby at Bantry Courthouse (during opening hours) and beside the Tourist Office on Wolfe Tone Square (open 24 hours).
