Bantry Library
Bantry Library happens to be one of the most striking and architecturally significant buildings erected in twentieth century Ireland.
Shaped like a Bronze Age dolmen, and crafted in the brutalist style, this welcoming institution, established in 1974, brings its own magic to the West Cork Music readings and performances that take place within.
Directions to the Library: From Bantry Main Square, turn left at Harrington Estates. Continue straight up New Street and then on to Bridge Street (all one way streets) until you come to a large water wheel. Bantry Library is adjacent to this.
