West Cork Music is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.

Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. www.westcorkmusic.ie follows many of the guidelines set out in WCAG 2.2 level AA to support accessibility, with ongoing efforts to enhance user experience across all content. Non-accessible Content

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons:

  • Third-party applications: Some third-party applications integrated into our site are not fully accessible. Despite our best efforts, we cannot control the accessibility of these elements.

  • Animated Branding Elements
    The site logo contains a continuously animated transition between the words Music, Literature and Tradition. During these transitions, text contrast may temporarily fall below WCAG AA requirements and the animation cannot currently be paused. This is a known issue and forms part of the organisation’s visual branding.
  • Third-Party Embedded Map
    The website includes a third-party embedded map component. Automated accessibility testing identified issues relating to colour contrast, keyboard accessibility of scrollable regions, and minimum touch target sizes within the embedded map interface. As these controls are provided and maintained by the third-party map provider, the website operator is unable to directly modify or remediate these issues.
