Our Board

Since 2014, Donagh Collins has been Chief Executive of Askonas Holt and Opus 3 Artists, the leading artist management companies in the classical music sector. He has served as Chair of West Cork Music since 2023. Donagh and his family love nothing more than to enjoy time in West Cork with friends and family.

Deborah Kelleher, Deputy Chair, has been Director of the Royal Irish Academy of Music since 2010 and played an integral role in the strategic development of the institution’s international profile, outreach activities, and academic courses, as well as its infrastructural projects

Ailbhe Cunningham is a Registered Architect MRIAI, printmaker, and photographer who has worked for a number of award-winning architecture practices in Ireland and abroad.

Ann Davoren, is Director of Uillinn West Cork Arts Centre in Skibbereen and helped to bring the Centre from concept to fruition. She has over 20 years’ experience of working in the arts.

Aiden McCarthy is a property developer, businessman, and former Bantry mayor who is active across local community organisations. He has served as Chair of Bantry Harbour Authority.

John O’Kane is a musician who served as Arts Director for over a decade at The Arts Council/An Chomhairle Ealaíon before joining RTÉ as Executive Director, Orchestras, Quartet and Choirs. He is currently the Music and Arts Strategy Executive Director at RTÉ.

Caroline Cronin is a Fine Gael councillor on Cork County Council. Originally from Ballydehob, she lives in Schull, where she is actively involved in her local GAA club, Gabriel Rangers and community development.

David Gordon is a Chartered Accountant, a Fellow of the Securities and Investment Institute, and holds a Diploma in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors.  He moved from the UK to Ireland in 2018 to establish and run the new European HQ for S&P (Standard and Poor’s) following Brexit.

Ray O’Leary grew up in Bantry and went on to study in UCC and Liverpool. He started his career in local government in England and Wales, before returning to Ireland, initially to local government in Cork and then joining the civil service. He worked across a wide range, including road safety, planning and finance as well as overseeing EU funding in a Regional Assembly. He went onto senior roles in tourism and transport, before retiring from the Office of the Attorney General in 2024.

Hailing from the parish of Caheragh, Geeorge Gill is a Fianna Fáilte councillor on Cork County Council. He studied at University College Cork, earning a BSc in Government & Public Policy and an MSc in International Public Policy & Diplomacy. His professional expertise lies in Regional Development Policy, and he has worked with several business representation organisations to drive growth and development. Deeply involved in his local community, he is Vice Chair of Tadhg MacCarthaigh GAA Club and previously held the role of Development Officer with Carbery GAA. He is also an active member of the Caheragh & District Vintage Club
