xxi. Masterclass

MASTERCLASSES A masterclass is a high-level tutoring session for selected high level students, which is open to the public to come and watch. The students will perform a piece or large section of a piece and then receive advice from the tutors on a range of subjects from technique to interpretation. The audience have the chance to see learning in action and discover how performers think on stage, and the conversations that ensembles need to have when practising bring a work from the page to the stage.
