36. Crespo Midday Series
The Awkward Dances project aims at bringing the traditional stylised Baroque dance form into a modern context. Woodpeckers Quartet will explore how modern musical expressions can be reinterpreted through the lens of cultural traditions, showcasing the likenesses and differences of modern compositional styles through new dance works by composers from each of their home regions: Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Sápmi. Today’s concert includes no less than ten World Premieres, which we will present alongside arrangements of old dances, the old and the new seamlessly dancing together
