21. Talking Music
Sean Rafferty will be in conversation with Chiaroscuro Quartet. This outstanding Quartet has been performing regularly in Bantry since 2010, this year will be their 6th visit. They are well-known for their authentic performances of the classical Viennese composers using gut strings and Baroque bows, creating a new quartet sound. The Quartet members are each soloists in their own right and live in three different countries, managing rehearsals, recordings and concerts must create crazy logistical issues, the kind of issues that cause many Quartets to give up. This interview may explain how they manage.
