Sarah Webb and a team of professional authors and illustrators are currently setting up a guild for Irish or Irish based children’s authors, illustrators and creatives (children’s script writers, podcasters etc will be included).

One of their aims is to host regular social meet ups where children’s creatives can exchange experiences and ideas and talk about their work in a mutually supportive environment. They believe that children matter and that creating for children matters! If you share this belief and would like to find out more about guild, and/or talk about your own work for young audiences, or simply have a social drink with some fellow creatives, please do come along. All professional* authors, illustrators and writers are welcome.

(*One traditionally published book under your belt with an established Irish or international publishing house eg The O’Brien Press, Little Island, HarperCollins. Or a track record in creating children’s scripts eg for RTE. Please note we will not be able to advise new writers about writing or publishing at this event. Please see the Writing for Children Information event on Sunday 14 July if you are a new or emerging children’s writer or illustrator.)
