45. Coffee Concert

Chiaroscuro Quartet is made up of musicians from Russia, Spain. Sweden and France. They specialise in playing music of the Classical and early Romantic periods on gut strings with historical bows. So their repertoire ranges from Haydn to Mendelssohn. Their unique sound is described as a shock to the ears of the best kind – and it is a shock compared to the high-powered sound of so many modern Quartets. Haydn is the natural home for the Chiaroscuros - in this case with music specifically composed to be as attractive and popular as possible.
