78. Coffee Concert

This programme celebrates the coming together of French and Italian musical styles as pioneered by Francois Couperin in his Réunion des goûts. He explored and developed this concept in his two masterpieces L’Apothéose de Lully and Les Nations. The latter in particular was dedicated to the illustration and integration of these national styles.
