After a career as artist, holding exhibitions and lecturing in the the Netherlands and Australia, I started bowmaking In 1991. My Baroque, Classical and Contemporary bows are used by specialist solo musicians like Hidemi Suzuki, Natsumi Wakamatsu, Hirao Masako, Enrico Gatti, Shaun Lee Chen, Rachael Beesley, Joseph Kuipers, Orchestra of the 18 th Century, Les Arts Florrisants, Matangi quartet, Dutch Bachvereninging, Anima Eterna, Japan Bach Collegium, the Brandenburgh Orchestra, Kees van Hemert combines his visual expertise with suberb practical skills, creating bows which are as finely balanced as they are esthetical pleasing, each one an individual one of work of art.
