Oisín Walsh-Peelo is a West-Cork-based multi-instrumentalist, composer, and arranger who has toured extensively throughout his career. A versatile session player (piano, guitar, harp, low whistles, vocals), he’s performed across Ireland, the UK, Europe and the US, and collaborated with artists including Villagers, Flyte, Bombay Bicycle Club, Aoife Nessa Francis, and LOAH.
2024 was a landmark year: Oisín released his debut solo album Os to critical acclaim, toured a sold-out run with his band The Fynches, and played Glastonbury’s Avalon Stage with FLYTE. He also took on the role of associate music director for a work-in-progress showing of Mick Flannery’s upcoming musical ‘The House Must Win/Evening Train’ at the 2025 Galway International Arts Festival.
Beyond the stage, Oisín is a sought-after arranger and conductor, with orchestration credits for the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, Hudson Taylor, and numerous TV and festival projects. He’s currently involved in a series of new collaborative works, including ambient-folk with his brother Ferdia Walsh-Peelo and a spoken word/sound design project with writer Alan Robinson. He is a core musician with ‘Arts for Health’, an initiative that brings art projects into community hospitals across West Cork. His main focus now is on songwriting, recording, and continuing to explore the edges of folk, classical, and contemporary music.
