Nichola Smalley

Nichola Smalley is a translator of Swedish and Norwegian literature. Her work has been nominated for the International Booker Prize, the Warwick Prize for Women in Translation, the Bernard Shaw Prize and the National Translation Award. Her translation of Andrzej Tichý’s Wretchedness won the 2021 Oxford-Weidenfeld Translation Prize. She translated Agnes Lidbeck’s 2023 novel All min kärlek from Swedish into English and it is published under the title All My Love by Peirene Press in June 2026. Nichola lives in London.
