Lina Andonovska

Lina Andonovska is an Australian-born flautist and new-music specialist of international repute. She is the flautist of the four-time Grammy-winning ensemble Eighth Blackbird. Her artistic profile spans rigorous modern repertoire, improvisation and sound-art contexts — she has collaborated with ensembles including Ensemble Modern, Crash Ensemble and the Australian Chamber Orchestra. Described as “a rare breed in the flute world” for her willingness to push boundaries, she has performed globally and brings a bold, exploratory voice to the flute. Her interests extend beyond the concert hall to community-engaged work, and her artistry combines technical precision with imaginative adventurousness.
