Having retired as a member of An Garda Síochána, reared her three children, and experienced cancer, Dearbhla Mescal is now finding the time to follow her own dreams and enjoy her second act of life. She posts her daily thoughts and joys on Instagram. Dearbhla’s first book Finding Joy: Capturing the Beauty of Ordinary Life in 28 Days was published by Eriu in February 2026.
