Charlotte McConaghy is an Australian author living in Sydney with her partner and two children. She has a master’s degree in Screenwriting from the Australian Film Television and Radio School, and a number of published SFF works in Australia. Her novel Migrations was her first foray into adult literary fiction. It is being translated into over 25 languages and adapted to film. Her second novel, Once There Were Wolves was a New York Times bestseller, and is a romantic mystery about a biologist charged with reintroducing wolves to the Scottish Highlands to rewild the landscape and bring a forest back to life. Her novel Wild Dark Shore was published by Canongate in November 2025. It is an international bestseller, was a Reese Witherspoon Bookclub pick in late 2025 and is currently longlisted for the 2026 Women’s Prize for Fiction.
