Alice Barry

Alice Barry, a native of Cork, has established herself as a versatile figure in the realms of writing, acting, producing, and directing. Her journey began at The Samuel Beckett Centre, Trinity College, where she graduated in 1995, venturing into a diverse creative career. She has written and acted in plays such as ‘Fruitcake’, ‘Violet Gibson: The Woman Who Shot Mussolini’ and ‘Liv’, all of which saw performances at The Everyman Theatre as part of extensive national and international tours. Alice holds a certificate in screenwriting from the prestigious UCLA and a master’s degree in creative writing from UCC. As Artistic Director of Noggin Theatre Company and Director of Midleton Arts Festival, Alice’s multifaceted contributions to the arts reflect her dedication to storytelling and her commitment to enriching the cultural tapestry of her community. Her published short stories include ‘For Life’ in The Holly Bough and ‘Collision Course’, which was shortlisted at Cúirt and was published in UCC’s The Quarryman.
