Aidan Taylor is an Irish Canadian composer currently based in Oxford, UK. He studied composition at the University of Toronto under the faculty of Gary Kulesha, Christos Hatzis and James Rolfe. His music has been commissioned, recorded, performed, radio broadcast and toured in more than 20 countries by ensembles like the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Ancient Music at Oxford University, Contemporary Music Collective, Untitled Ensemble, Q Lab Band; and chamber musicians of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Victoria Symphony Orchestra, Chicago Civic Orchestra, l’Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal; and institutions in Canada, the US, the UK, Denmark, Germany and Japan. His body of work includes 7 staged ballets, 6 recorded albums, several symphonies and a large collection of chamber repertoire. He also served 3 years as the Music Director of the Toronto Chamber Symphony and the Toronto Medieval and Renaissance Consort, he currently serves as the Rehearsal Director of Ancient Music at Oxford.
