Paula Meehan is among the best-known and most admired of contemporary Irish poets. Born in 1955 in Dublin where she still lives, she has published eight collections of poems, as well as As If By Magic: Selected Poems (Dedalus Press, 2021). From 2013 to 2016 she was Ireland Professor of Poetry and Imaginary Bonnets with Real Bees in Them, her lectures from the Chair, were published in 2016. She is a member of Aosdána. Her latest collection The Solace of Artemis was published by Dedalus Press in November 2023.
