Keira O’Connell

Keira O’Connell is a freelance Irish Sign Language interpreter based in Cork. She studied ISL interpreting at the Centre for Deaf Studies in Trinity College, Dublin. With previous experience assisting adults with autism and acquired brain injuries, she recognises the power of effective communication. In addition, Keira is a trained death doula, providing support and solace to individuals and their families during life’s most delicate transitions. Her future plans include training to become a birth doula for the deaf community in Ireland.
