Alex Barclay is the award-winning author of several bestselling thrillers. She studied journalism in college and went on to work as a journalist and copywriter before writing her first novel, Darkhouse, a Sunday Times Top Ten bestseller. Alex won the Ireland AM Crime Fiction Award for her third novel, Blood Runs Cold. My Heart and Other Breakables, her debut for 11+ readers, was published by Harper Collins in April 2022. Alex also writes for Simon & Schuster under the pseudonym, Alexia Mason. Her debut YA crime novel, Rock Paper Killers, was nominated for an Irish Book Award in 2022. Alex lives on the Beara Peninsula in West Cork. She is the editor of Cork County Council’s From The Well short story anthology for 2023.
