Lindsey Vincent

Instruments: Composers

Dr. Lindsey Vincent is a composer, percussionist, and educator from Nashville, Tennessee, USA. In 2014, she graduated cum laude with a BSc in music education from Bethel University in McKenzie, Tennessee. She attended Trinity College Dublin from 2016-2021; during this time she obtained a MPhil in music composition (2:1) and a PhD in music composition under the supervision of Dr. Evangelia Rigaki.

Lindsey’s compositions vary in style – she enjoys experimenting with pandiatonicism, extended techniques, unique instrumentation/ensemble balance, and unification of un-related genres. In addition to composing, she has been a percussion instructor and custom composer/arranger for over 10 years to several competition-placing high school marching bands in the USA. Lindsey was also a music editor/percussion instructor for the Beeches Performance Ensemble in Birmingham, UK for three years and a mallet clinician for the British Youth Band Association’s Train the Trainer in 2019.
