Róisín Chambers

Instruments: Fiddle | Sean-Nós Singer

Róisin is a sean-nós singer and fiddle player. From a family of musicians, she grew up surrounded by Irish music, language and culture.

Growing up in Dublin, she was influenced by a number of singers and musicians and Una Bn nic Mhathuna and Seamus macMathuna had a huge impact on her musical journey. Róisín’s singing has been particularly influenced by the Connemara style of sean-nós singing but she prides herself as a Dublin Sean-nós singer. She has won honors at fleadhanna cheoil  and performed on stages both nationally and beyond with various bands/artists including  Gerry O’Connor, Salsa Celtica, the Bonny Men and At First Light. She is currently recording her debut album which she hopes to release in the coming year.
