David King is a young Irish pianist from Shannon, Co. Clare, recently graduated with a First Class honours BMus degree and currently pursuing his MA in Piano Performance in the CIT Cork School of Music with Sabine Ducrot. He has previously studied with Dr Gabriela Mayer, Michael MacHale and Eleanor Malone, and has taken part in masterclasses with pianists such as Barry Douglas, Finghin Collins, and Anton Voigt.
A previous prize-winner at Feis Maitiu (The Bridget Doolan Cup for Piano Concerto 2017), he has performed in venues such as the St. Mary’s Cathedral (2019), Mary Immaculate College (2019) , the Hunt Museum (2017), St. Multose Kinsale (2017) LIT Millennium Theatre 2017), Cultúrlann Sweeney Kilkee(2017), and festivals such as the Kinsale Arts Weekend (2018), Tracton Arts Festival (2018), and the Summer Music on the Shannon Classical Music Festival (2016, 2017).
