Who gets to call themselves a writer? This is a seminar for writers and those who write but lack the confidence to call themselves writers. If you write, you are a writer, but how do you get published?

Karolina Sutton will talk about her work as a literary agent, exploring the various paths to publication available to emerging writers. From finding the perfect agent to handling rejection and describing your book in a way that is likely to appeal to a publisher, the seminar presents an opportunity to learn more about the process of discovery and publication.

Karolina Sutton is a literary agent at Curtis Brown, working with fiction and non-fiction writers from all over the world. She represents Margaret Atwood, Haruki Murakami, Emma Healey, Malala Yousafzai and many others. Prior to joining Curtis Brown, Karolina worked at International Creative Management in the book and film rights departments.
