Kate Lawlor is a writer from Dublin. In 2022, she was a recipient of the Ireland Chair of Poetry Student award and a literature bursary award from the Arts Council. Her poetry has featured on RTÉ’s The Poetry Programme, and her fiction has appeared in the Irish Independent and Sonder Magazine. She holds an MA in creative writing from UCD. She won the 2024 From the Well short story award, organised by Cork County Council Library and Arts Service, and her story was published in the annual anthology.
