Alessandro Loro (2001) is an Italian award-winning composer, sound designer and classical guitarist based in Dublin, Ireland. After completing his studies in classical guitar with M° Eddy Serafini in Trento, Italy, moved to Ireland to study music at Trinity College Dublin. Here, he specialized in composition under Evangelia Rigaki
and Elis Czerniak and graduated with a First Class Honours and a Trinity Gold Medal. He was elected Foundation Scholar in Music in Trinity Term 2022 and was awarded the Gerard Victory Composition Prize (2024), Geoffrey Singleton Prize (2024), Mahaffy Memorial Prize (2024), Steward and Prout Prize (2024) and Taylor Entrance
Exhibition Award (2021). He will be pursuing a Mst in Composition at the University of Oxford in October 2024.

His compositional style focuses on merging different musical influences, combining modern practices with traditional sonorities from several musical backgrounds and styles. His compositions have been performed in festivals in Italy and Ireland – recent commissions include the permanent installation The Ferdinando – Museum of Frontiers in Fort Bard (Italy, 2024), GuitaRIAM (2024), Fidelio Trio Winter Chamber Music Festival (Snapshots initiative, Ireland, 2023) and Sacred Music Festival (Italy, 2022).

In addition, Alessandro extensively works as a film composer. Recent works include productions for Amazon Prime Video, documentaries, short films, trailers and marketing campaigns, including Champions of Made in Italy, a recent campaign by Lega Serie A, Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation broadcast on all major streaming platforms (Prime Video, Apple TV, Paramount+). In 2023, the Cannes Soundtrack Award selected two of his pieces for high–sync potential.

As a guitarist, Alessandro holds two international performance awards — the National Performing Competition “Città Piove di Sacco” 2018 (III place, classical guitar duo), and the Best Students of Public and Private Schools Affiliated with the Vicenza Conservatory Award 2016 (III place, classical guitar quartet) – and has an extensive performance record around Italy and Ireland.
