Sarah Byrne writes, teaches and edits for a living. She lives between France and Ireland and her work has appeared in The Irish Times, The New Statesman and Poetry Ireland Review. She worked for ten years in prisons and hospitals in advocacy, research and caregiving roles. She founded The Well Review in 2016. She was Digital-Writer-in-Residence at West Cork Literary Festival 2021. Sarah was awarded a Literature Bursary the Arts Council of Ireland in 2022. Paper People is her first book.
