Lauren O’Donovan is an Irish-Canadian writer from Cork with an MA in Creative Writing from UCC. Best known for her experimental poetry and darkly humorous voice, Lauren also writes fiction and stories for children. She was longlisted for the Cúirt New Writing Prize 2022, Highly Commended at the International Fool For Poetry Chapbook Competition 2021, and featured for Mythology Retold at the 2021 Sligo Arts Festival. Once the Digital Director of the International Agency BSTRO, Lauren now uses her powers for good as co-founder of Lime Square Poets, co-editor of The Same Page Anthology, and board member of DeBarra’s Spoken Word. Alongside Róisín Leggett Bohan, she is the founder and editor and HOWL, a literary journal that platforms for Irish writing from home and abroad.
