Caroline O’Donoghue is an novelist and podcaster who is originally from Cork. She has published two adult novels, Promising Young Women and Scenes of a Graphic Nature, and her third adult novel will be released in spring 2023. Formerly a journalist, Caroline has written for The Times, The Guardian, and most of the Irish press. Her award-winning podcast, Sentimental Garbage covers “the culture we love that society can sometimes make us feel ashamed of ” and tops the podcast charts internationally. Caroline lives in London with her partner and her dog. Her first YA novel All Our Hidden Gifts was chosen as Cork County Council’s One County, One Book in 2021. The follow-up novel The Gifts That Bind Us was published by Walker Books in February 2022.
