Bernadette McCarthy lives in West Cork in Ireland with her partner Emma. She holds a PhD, specialises in Irish literature and has taught courses in University College Cork, the University of Limerick and West Cork College. She has published on WB Yeats, Oscar Wilde and Virginia Woolf and provides consultation for content creators on Irish Myth and Legend. Her creative writing focuses on historical Irish themes. Bernadette is the 2022 winner of the Cork County Council Library and Arts Services’ From The Well short story prize and her winning story is published in the From The Well anthology.
