Conor Russell

Instruments: Makers | Violin Makers

Conor Russell was born in Dublin and studied violin making at the Cork School of Music from 1985 to 1988. He later worked in Dublin,and then studied restoration with J&A Beare in London. From 1991 he shared a workshop in Wicklow with William Hofmann where he repaired and restored instruments.

He now works from his home in south County Wicklow where he makes, restores and repairs violins, violas and cellos, and enjoys sharing his workshop with visiting colleagues.

He is also a member of the Entente Internationale des Maitres Luthiers et Archetiers d’Art.
