The Red Abbey String Quartet is made up of four exciting young string players at CIT Cork School of Music.

Kevin Jansson, a student of Ruxandra Petcu Colan, was joint winner of the 2015 NCH Young Musicians’ Award and has performed as soloist with the RTE Concert Orchestra, CIT CSM Chamber Orchestra, Cork Youth Orchestra and Dublin Symphony Orchestra.

Kate Fleming is a scholarship student at CIT Cork School of Music where she studies violin with Eithne Willis. She is a member of the Cork Youth Orchestra and the National Youth Orchestra of Ireland.

Séamus Hickey studied violin with Adrian Petcu and Siun Milne at CIT CSM and in the Conservatoire de Nantes with Constantin Serban. He studies viola with Simon Apell at CIT CSM. He also plays traditional music and has twice been an All-Ireland finalist on the fiddle.

Zoë Nagle is a student of Christopher Marwood at CIT CSM. She has won several prizes at national competitions and is a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Ireland.
