A stellar line-up of 24 musicians will come together for an evening of great music introduced by RTE Lyric FM’s Evelyn Grant. The renowned Banbha and Esposito Quartets play favourites from the string quartet repertoire by Schubert, Brahms, Shostakovich and Rhiannon Giddens. The extraordinary Yershovy sisters from Ukraine were a sensation at last year’s gala and they return with music by Vivaldi, Skoryk and more. The second half of the concert presents three unique collaborations in popular movements for string quintet, sextet and octet by Dvorak, Brahms and Mendelssohn.
