A group of young Illustrators are excited to be entering the European Network FLIC  Awards and were hard at work on the project. A group of fifteen boys and girls from Kinsale Community School took part in this activity with the help of artist Fiona Kelly. Their artwork has been sent to Barcelona for entry into the 9th edition of the FLIC awards.


The FLIC network is a programme aimed at design and illustration in schools. The aim of the programme is to promote the relationship between literature and illustration.

The FLIC Prize, awarded annually through the FLIC literature & arts festival, aims to give recognition to outstanding people and projects for their role in the promotion and dissemination of children’s and young people’s literature with a close relationship with other arts.
