73. Crespo Series

Anastasia Kobekina feels like a regular Bantry performer although this year is her first visit to West Cork. She was booked for the 2020 Festival before it had to be cancelled and then took part in both our virtual Festivals including Schubert’s Arpeggione with Anna Fedorova so it seemed right to hear them live in the same much-loved piece, which they play with infectious enjoyment. The Brahms Trio was inspired by the famous clarinet player, Richard Mühlfeld, but Brahms provided a separate score with the dark-voiced viola replacing the clarinet with sumptuous results.
