Poetry Happening about Community with Jenny Mitchell

Join award-winning poet Jenny Mitchell to explore what community means in a world that seems ever-more uncertain. Participants will be given creative prompts to write about the joys and limitations of real or imagery groups. Can poetry help us feel positive and empowered, especially if we have been also felt invisible or overwhelmed? 

Up to 50 participants will be creating and sharing space in a way that aims to build feelings of positivity. This seventy-five minute workshop will be followed by a forty-minute open mic during which participants can share the poems they’ve written. Open to new and experienced writers.
