Welcome to the Wonderful World of Milly McCarthy. Milly is a complete catastrophe, a total magnet for mayhem. Whether it’s disastrous dancing, shambolic sports days or totally hilarious talent shows, Milly always leaves a trail of chaos behind her. Come and meet Cork author Leona Forde and join her on an adventure into the world of Milly McCarthy and her latest Wild Atlantic Antics in the Kerry Gaeltacht. Sure, what could possibly go wrong?
Duration: 1 hour. Ages 7+
Please note: Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the duration of events in St Brendan’s School Hall.
In Leona Forde’s brand new book Milly McCarthy’s Wild Atlantic Antics (illustrated by Karen Harte), it’s nearly the summer holidays and Milly’s class is heading off on a school tour to the Gaeltacht in the West of Ireland. Milly can’t wait to be away from home with her friends – but the teachers aren’t quite so excited. Because Milly is a constant catastrophe waiting to happen, and they know it’s only a matter of time before she turns the school tour upside down…
