For Four Strings

This
string quartet is in one single movement. It consists of ten sections some of
which are unrelated whilst others have direct and/or indirect connections. When
I wrote this quartet I imagined a night time journey across forests and hills.
I thought of how when venturing into the unknown the series of events can be
unpredictable and leave the traveller asking many questions. This journey ends
with a short moment of reflection and contemplation.
